Marco Zeltner
BIOGRAPHY
Marco Zeltner is a specialist dentist in restorative dentistry and co-owner of a dental clinic in Horgen, Switzerland, where he leads a team of six specialist dentists and two general dentists. He graduated from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, in 2006 and was awarded the title “Doctor medicinae dentium” (Dr. med. dent.) at the same university in 2010.
After passing the state dental examination, he worked for five years as a full-time partner at “Grimmzahnaerzte” in Horgen. He then completed a three-year postgraduate training programme in restorative dentistry at the Clinic for Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics and Dental Materials Science at the University of Zurich. During this time, he received training in prosthodontics and implantology. In 2015, he received the Research Award of the Swiss Society for Reconstructive Dentistry.
After completing his postgraduate training, he worked for one year as a part-time senior resident for teaching and research at the Clinic for Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics and Dental Materials Science at the University of Zurich. Since 2016, he has worked in his private practice (Grimmzahnärzte) and part-time as a lecturer at the Center of Dental Medicine in Zurich. His clinical focus is on the comprehensive treatment of complex cases in patients with complete or partial tooth loss, using all available options in reconstructive dentistry, including dental implants. In addition to his specialisation in reconstructive dentistry (Swiss Society for Reconstructive Dentistry), he also obtained the postgraduate training diploma (WBA) in oral implantology (Swiss Society for Oral Implantology).
His main scientific interest is in regenerative concepts in the field of implantology.
